  1. You add and modify entries in the Data Entry dialog box.  You can also use this dialog box to assign categories and List By settings.

  3. The Data Entry dialog box appears when you
  4.  
  5. •  create a new file, either by starting Address
  6.     Book Plus or by choosing New from the File
  7.     menu
  8.  
  9. •  create a new entry by choosing New Entry from
  10.     the Entry menu
  11.  
  12. •  start to modify an existing entry by selecting it
  13.     in either Browse or Layout mode, then choosing
  14.     Modify Entry from the Entry menu; you can
  15.     also double-click the entry
  16.  
  17. Press Tab to move the cursor to the next field in the Data Entry dialog box, and Shift-Tab to move to the previous field.  You can also click a field to activate it.

  19. Press Command-L from the current field to open a smart list Inquiry dialog box where you can add new terms and set options for the smart lists.  See the subtopic “Smart Lists” for more information.
